more about susie !

What kind of keywords or search phrases should I use?

That depends on what you are looking for. If you use a very generic word, like "computer", you will find that Susie will send you many new suggestions in a short period of time, but you haven't really given her much to go on.

It's far better to let her know the specifics of what you are searching for and let her spend some time looking for it. She will work around the clock! If you are really searching for "Flash programming resources", then tell her that.

You can enter several keywords or search phrases, separated by commas.

(Note: complex search criteria including boolean pattern matching will be available soon.)

How long will she take?

Susie works around the clock, but she can only look at one website at a time, and she does this about once each second or two. Depending on the specificity of your search criteria, she may find several websites for you in a single day, or it may take her several days to find a site that matches your interests.

She is also dependant on what our user community is currently bookmarking. This isn't a search engine and Susie doesn't go snooping around those for you. She's only looking for what's being bookmarked today, usually within the last hour, and she sends those links on to you as soon as she finds them.

Why not just use a search engine?

Search engines index everthing! But you only bookmark what's important to you, what you find valuable and interesting. Social bookmarking assumes that others may also find those websites of value too. Susie acts as an anonymous agent for exchanging this information between users. I believe that she is the first on the internet to provide this type of service by placing her suggestions directly to your browser favorites. Susie saves you time, and she shows you things beyond what you may have thought to ask. If you like social bookmarking, you'll love Susie!
